Underwater world is located along Sukhumvit highway to the south of the city, and can easily be reached by the white baht bus route which runs along Sukhumvit road. Obviously for those that have access to a private vehicle, being on the main highway makes getting here very easy and there is plenty of parking. Or if your prefer the easier option then there are regular tours to the aquarium, and tickets can be bought at any reputable agent or your hotels desk.

The trip here from central Pattaya hotels will be around 20-30mins. Depending on the traffic and time of the day.

Once inside underwater world you are transported into the middle of a magical marine world. Whilst wandering down the 100 meter glass observation tunnel you can view over 5,000 fish from over 500 species native to Thailand and its surrounding waters.

There are many zones inside and each is dedicated to a different aspect of marine life. In the touch pool which focuses on rock pools. The younger ones with you will love interacting and getting up close and personal with the many different species found around Thailand’s coast line.

The deep ocean zone is the firm favorite among many a visitor and here is where you will find the big mighty predators from the deep such as reef sharks, fat nurse sharks, eagle rays and more.

The jelly fish zone is something of an acquired taste, as jelly fish are not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you are interested watching then these graceful swimmers can be quite enchanting.

As well as the normal activities associated with the aquariums, underwater world Pattaya also offers a few different activities for your enjoyment. Koi feeding is a great way for children to get up close to the action. They will no doubt be talking about feeding the fish with milk bottles for a long time.

For those a little older and a lot more daring why not take a quick scuba lesson in the shallow pool and throw yourself in the deep end, literally. The dive with sharks activity, as the name suggests allows you to dive into the shark tank and get an awesome experience. You do not need to be an experienced diver to partake. You will be taught the basics first, and you will be accompanied by a very experienced dive master at all times. Diving with sharks opened in 2013 and quickly became one of the top rated attractions on trip adviser here in Pattaya.

Underwater world Pattaya is open daily from 0900 through to 1800. Feeding times are from 10am until noon and 3pm until 4pm If your schedule allows try and get here for feeding time as this is when the fish are most active and the spectacle is at it’s best.

Admission is 500thb per adult and 300thb for children, which makes it a great value day out for all the family.

Overall this is rightly so one of the most visited attractions here. Most who visit highly enjoy the experience. And the feeling you are contributing to conservation and education makes it even more worthwhile.
